Trump says he is taking hydroxychloroquine to prevent COVID 19. Since Trump lies continuously that might or might not be true. Earlier Trump advised people to take the drug saying, "What do you have to lose?" What do we have to lose? The possible side effects include abnormal heart rhythm and damage to the eyes. With any medicine we have to balance the benefit against the possible bad effects. For appropriate reasons, in treating lupus erythematosus, the benefit outweighs the risk. That is not the case in treating COVID 19 where hydroxychloroquine has not been proven to be of benefit. This is typical Trump crap: make up stuff to divert from Trump deficiencies.
